Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) Surface Studio Dominates the All-in-one PC Market

In November 2016, Microsoft reported its Surface family is becoming increasingly popular and “more people are switching from Macs to Surface than ever before.” The company noted that November was its best month ever for consumer Surface sales. According to the tech firm, professional users are converting to its high-end hybrid PCs – the Surface Pro 4 tablet, Surface Book laptop and Surface Studio desktop – due to the disappointment of the Apple MacBook Pro.

The Surface Studio 28-inch all-in-one computer ships with a standard Surface Pen, an updated Sculpt mouse, and a keyboard. Microsoft says that the Studio is a must-have machine for creative and professionals users. According to the company, the all-in-one PC is designed for “how people naturally create and bring ideas to life.”

The Studio features an ultra-HD 4.5K screen that delivers 63% more pixels than a state-of-the-art 4K TV. It can be converted into a digital canvas from a workstation. In the Studio Mode, it sits at a 20-degree angle, the same angle as a standard drafting board, making it ideal for sketching, writing and designing.
